In 2018, WT Group and its partners founded the Georgian-American School of Batumi — the holding’s first school.
The school’s story began in August 2017, when WT Group acquired the former Shahin school-lyceum building in Batumi. After studying the private-school segment in the Adjara region, the company decided to establish a modern educational institution in Batumi. The school was ceremonially opened on 1 October 2018.
Today the Georgian-American School of Batumi is one of the leading private schools in Georgia, covering grades I–XII across primary, basic and secondary levels. It is staffed by a team of professional teachers, and its long-term development plan builds on international experience and Georgian educational principles.
The school’s infrastructure includes:
- Modern computer and science laboratories
- A library and a medical office
- A canteen
- Indoor and outdoor sports grounds
- Theatre and conference halls
